Six Degrees of Me.

I have been tagged to reveal six "quirky" and "unimportant" things about myself by livingsword.  Okay, here we go...

1. One of my friends on Facebook just nominated me as the person she knows who is most likely to use the word "superfluous" correctly in a sentence.  She is right.
2. I am mentioned in the preface of an out-of-print book.
3. At one point in high school, I was close to fluent in Spanish.  I can still read it pretty well, but anything else is pretty hard nowadays.
4. I have an uncanny knack for remembering insignificant details with remarkable clarity (e.g., the vowel-pointing pattern for Hebrew verbs in the Piel Imperfect conjugation), but I have a hard time remembering important things, like people's names.
5. Animals like me.
6. In 2003, I finished in the top 20 at the US 1/2-marathon championships in Kansas City.

Hi Jon;

Thanks for participating…

1) Nice use of superfluous…

2) Ohhh sure create a mystery for us… What book? Maybe I have it in my cavernous library, and archives….

3) I have seen you utilizing some Spanish on your blog… I am better at understanding various languages when they are spoken than reading them or speaking them myself…

4) Jon anybody can remember “the vowel-pointing pattern for Hebrew verbs in the Piel Imperfect conjugation”. But can you remember how to install a warp coil? Or do you know the going rate for stem bolts? I’m quite similar to you. I remember incredibly detailed things few others are interested in but have trouble with names, although creating nicknames seems to help with that….

5) And you like animals….

6) Very nice, well done!

Thanks Jon it is always nice to get to know you better….

2) A Genuine Faith by Dr. Rodney Reeves.

4) It was very evident to me as I sat through numerous Hebrew classes that not everyone can remember this pattern! And I don't know what any of those things you mentioned are. :)
